A decision on a liquor license for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians is expected in December, The Solvang Valley News reports.
The California Department of Alcoholic
Beverage Control began a four-day hearing on the tribe's request on Tuesday.
An official said a decision is expected within 45 days, or mid-December, the paper reported.
The tribe is seeking to expand the sale of liquor at the Chumash Casino Hotel and
Resort. Alcohol, however, won't be allowed on the gaming floor.
The hearing concludes tomorrow.
