Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs announces deal for newest casino

The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs said construction will finally start in spring 2013 on a new casino.

AMC reached a deal with Hemisphere Gaming, a Minnesota company, to manage the Spirit Sands Casino. The facility will be located on the Swan Lake First Nation and is expected to open in late 2013.

Hemisphere manages the South Beach Casino and Resort on the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation.
