Lakes Entertainment saw a boost in revenues in the past quarter thanks in part to an improvement in business at the casino owned by the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians.

Lakes manages the Red Hawk Casino for the northern California tribe. A press release issued today cited an "increase in fees" from the facility.

“We are pleased that third quarter 2012 results showed improvements over third quarter 2011 at the Red Hawk Casino and we are encouraged by the continued improvements in results at this property," Lakes president and chief financial officer Tim Cope said.

Lakes saw $3.6 million in revenue in the third quarter of 2012, a big jump from $0.3 million during the same quarter in 2011.
