The city of Rohnert Park, California, is asserting eminent domain in order to widen a road to the casino being built by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria.

The city and the tribe made offers to the owners of several properties but they were rejected. The total amount of affected land is just under one acre, The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat reported.

The tribe is paying $10 million on the road project. It will be used for the $800 million Graton Resort and Casino that's expected to open later this year.
