The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe is running a new ad against the off-reservation casino sought by the Menominee Nation.

The ad is titled "Wisconsin Gaming Is For Wisconsin." It claims that the Menominee Nation casino will benefit out-of-state interests, including the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut, a former backer of the project.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a final environmental impact statement for the project. The Menominee Nation is hoping for a decision this spring.

Tribal casino revenue in Wisconsin has fallen nearly 5 percent between 2007 and 2011, according to Casino City’s Indian Gaming Industry Report.
