Fort Independence Indian Community signs gaming compact

The Fort Independence Indian Community signed a Class III gaming compact with California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Thursday.

The tribe will be able to offer up to 800 slot machines under the agreement. The deal also sets a revenue-sharing rate of 10 percent.
