Sandia Pueblo hires more employees thanks to casino expansion

The Pueblo of Sandia in New Mexico is holding a job fair at its casino on January 28.

The tribe is hiring more than 100 people, KRQE reported. There are positions open at the Sandia Resort and Casino, within the tribal government and at other tribal businesses.

In 2015, the tribe completed the first major expansion of the casino in a decade The project included a multi-level parking garage, a spa, new gaming areas, an event space and a golf pavilion.

The casino opened in 2001. It sees the largest slot machine wins of any tribal facility in the state, according to revenue sharing reports from the New Mexico Gaming Control Board.
