Agua Caliente Band begins work on new parking garage at casino

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians started work on a new parking garage for its casino in Palm Springs, California.

The garage at the Spa Resort Casino will feature 850 spaces on four stories. Construction is expected to take about a year.

"The Spa Resort Casino team looks forward to providing convenient covered parking in our ongoing pursuit to offer the best possible experience for our guests and visitors to downtown Palm Springs," chief operating officer C.J. Graham said in a press release.

The garage is part of a larger effort by the tribe to develop its land around the casino Plans could include a hotel, retail and other businesses.
