Tribe accuses another of invading territory

The Colusa Indian Community has passed a resolution opposing a land-into-trust request by the Original Enterprise Rancheria.

The resolution accuses the Enterprise of encroaching on the Colusa Tribe's territory in Yuba County. The Enterprise, based in Butte County, wants 40 acres taken into trust for gaming purposes. The Enterprise chairman counters that Butte County is within his tribe's aboriginal territory.

The Enterprise has split into two factions. Enterprise No. 1 was formed by members who were disenrolled by the Original Enterprise.
