The ongoing reorganization of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Indian Health Service (IHS) budget will get hearings before two Congressional committees tomorrow.

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hear from tribal leaders who oppose the BIA restructuring and who have developed alternative plans for their respective regions. New assistant secretary Dave Anderson has been asked to testify. The hearing begins at 9:30 a.m. in Senate Russell Building Room 485.

The House Interior Appropriations subcommittee will hear from IHS director Dr. Charles Grim on his agency's budget. He is the only witness for the 10 a.m. hearing in Rayburn House Office Building Room B-308.
