regon tribe recalls Reagan for restoring recognition

Members of the Confederated Grand Ronde Tribes of Oregon say they will never forget former president Ronald Reagan.

The tribe was terminated by the federal government in the 1950s. In 1983, Reagan signed the tribe's restoration act into law, paving the way for the tribe to open its now successful casino.

Some tribal members want to add Reagan's name to a veteran's memorial on the reservation.
