Editorial: End fight against Lower Brule Sioux Tribe

South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds (R) should drop his fight against the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader says in an editorial.

Rounds is opposed to the tribe's request to have 91 acres placed in trust. But the paper says he should work with chairman Michael Jandreau on taxation issues.

"There's just too much at risk for all sides in this if the U.S. Supreme Court eventually rules on the dispute," the paper says.

The state has been fighting the decision for more than a decade.
