'Super Chief' Wadena alleges fraud in election he lost

Darrell "Chip" Wadena says he lost the recent election on the White Earth Ojibwe Reservation because his opponent received votes from deceased and non-enrolled tribal members and from illegal absentee voters.

Wadena lost the June 8 election to Erma Vizenor by 611 votes. But he says the tribe's election board mishandled the ballots. He also alleges Vizenor failed to meet residency requirements for pubic office.

The election challenge is going before a tribal judge today.
