Lease reached for Indian center in Milwaukee

Two Indian organizations will lease park land in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, for an Indian center.

HONOR and Loonsfoot Inc. will lease the land for $1 a year for 30 years, with the option to renew. The groups still need to raise $3.5 million to renovate a former U.S. Coast Guard station into a "world-class" history and cultural center.

The goal is to have the center open in 2006.
