Indian students in two Native communities in Arizona are getting their work published in a literary magazine.
The ArtsReach program encourages youth from the Old Pascua Yaqui community and from the Tohono O'odham Nation to write. Students take workshops with local writers in hopes of building their self-esteem.
The program has been in existence since 1987. This year, works from more than 200 students were published in "Dancing With the Wind," a publication of ArtsReach.
