Ex-gang member's Native center job questioned

A former gang leader who was hired by a Native center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is being questioned.

Izzy Vermette served jailed time for his involvement with the Manitoba Warriors. He now works for the Thunderbird House to help young people stay out of gangs.

But the leader of the opposition Tory Party says Vermette should be fired because of his past. Stuart Murray says taxpayer funds are being used for programs at the center.
