Juvenile allegedly pulled trigger in drive-bys

Federal authorities in Minnesota say a 15-year-old boy was behind the trigger in a series of drive-bys that targeted law enforcement on the Red Lake Reservation, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The boy was driven around by Charles Hegstrom Jr., 19, to six homes of law enforcement personnel and two law enforcement buildings. No one was hurt but police found bullets in rooms where young children were sleeping.

Hegstrom appeared in federal court yesterday. The youth is not being identified.
