Man indicted for drive-by shootings at Red Lake


A federal grand jury indicted a 19-year-old man for his involvement in a series of drive-by shootings on the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota.

Charles Hegstrom Jr. was charged with four counts of assault with intent to commit murder, four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, three counts of intimidating a federal officer and one count of discharging a firearm.

Hegstrom is alleged to have driven a juvenile around in a car while the juvenile shot a gun at six homes of law enforcement personnel and two law enforcement buildings.
