Colorado governor rejects Cheyenne-Arapaho bid

Colorado Gov. Bill Owens (R) said he won't support the land/casino settlement proposed by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma.

The tribes filed a claim for 27 million acres in Colorado. They say they are willing to settle for 500 acres and gaming rights but Owens called the proposal a form of "extortion."

The tribes say their casino would bring $1 billion to the state over 10 years.
