Metis drug treatment program under criminal probe

Government officials have launched a criminal probe involving the Mtis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan.

The drug treatment program has been under scrutiny for its spending. The entire board was forced to resign earlier this year amid allegations that members used government money for travel instead of services.

The council has an interim board that is making improvements, a senior Saskatchewan official said.
