Tribal member on international indigenous health panel


A South Dakota doctor who is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe will chair a panel on indigenous health issues.

Dr. Jeffrey A. Henderson will serve as chairman of the International Collaborative Indigenous Health Research Partnership on Resilience Review Panel. The panel was created by a trilateral agreement between Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Henderson is an assistant professor at the University of Colorado Health Science Center, American Indian Alaska Native Programs, serves as a member of the governing board of the Intercultural Cancer Council and is president and chief executive officer of the Black Hills Center for American Indian Health.
