Officials suspended at First Nations University

Three top officials at the First Nations University of Canada have been suspended pending an external review of the school's finances.

Vice president of administration Wes Stevenson, finance director Kim Sinclair and director of international programs Leonzo Barreno were suspended last week. Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations vice-chief Morley Watson, the chair of the university board of governors, said the action was necessary to conduct an audit under federal law.

Some faculty and staff are questioning the decision. They say the school is becoming politicized.
