Michigan tribe donates to college's PBS station


The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians has awarded a $151,000 grant to the PBS station owned by Central Michigan University.

WCMU will use $101,000 to produce a documentary about the tribe�s history that will be shown in local schools. The rest of the donation will go to upgrade the station's equipment.

Thanks to gaming revenues, the tribe is giving out $1.0 million to local groups.
