ICT: D-Q's Middle Eastern satellite probed by FBI

Administrators at the shuttered D-Q University set up a satellite operation of Middle Eastern students that came under an FBI probe after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Indian Country Today reports.

The satellite was extremely secretive but it was thought that money was exchanging hands. Genevieve Seeley, one of D-Q's cofounders and a member of the board of trustees until 2003, said administrators would not give details of the operation and refused an audit. Norma Knight, another board member, said no one knew about it until the students started asking for college certificates.

The FBI asked for a list of the students shortly after 9/11, according to ICT, but board members don't know what became of the probe. The satellite was based in Corona and involved 308 students, ICT said.
