Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe faces water shortage

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is fearing the worst when the system that supplies water to the reservation runs out.

The 1,400 residents of the reservation could lose water this summer. Levels in the system are within a few feet of running out, confirmed Gov. Mike Rounds (R).

The water shortage could have a drastic impact on the tribe's clinic and school, and could pose health problems to tribal members.
