Nisqually Tribe creates archive for cultural artifacts

The Nisqually Tribe of Washington has built an archive to house photos, crafts and other artifacts.

The tribe used a $180,000 grant from the HUD Community Development Block Grant program to build the archive. It currently houses a collection dating back 150 years that tribal officials hope to grow.

Local Native artists helped paint the archive's interior walls.
