High school principal gets rid of 'Warriors' mascot

The principal of a high school in New Brunswick has eliminated the school's "Warriors" mascot, saying it is disrespectful to Native people.

John MacKay of Woodstock High said the school will no longer use "Warriors" as its name, logo or mascot. The school's logo features an Indian headdress and, occasionally, a student would dress up as an Indian during big games.

Some students from the Woodstock First Nation attend the school.
