Wildfire prompts evacuation of Soboba Reservation

A brush fire that burned more than 2,000 acres as of late Wednesday forced a voluntary evacuation of the Soboba Reservation in southern California.

The Soboba Fire spread quickly after igniting yesterday afternoon. It came within several thousand yards of the tribe's casino, according to news reports.

No homes or lives are reported to be in danger. More than 1,000 firefighters are reported to be fighting the blaze.

In total, five fires are burning in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, home to several tribes.
