The Registry of Deeds in Essex County, Massachusetts, has published a web site of Colonial-era land deals with local tribes.
One October 11, 1686, deed shows the Naumkeag Tribe agreeing to deed all of the land in the town of Salem for 20 pounds. Another shows the sale of land for "three pounds and ten shllings."
The documents on the site [Link] cover two periods: before 1650 and after the mid-1680s.
