Weeklong celebration set for Tribal Canoe Journey


Dozens of tribes from Washington, Alaska and Canada will be celebrating all week as the 005 Tribal Canoe Journey kicks off on the Lower Elwha Klallam Reservation in Washington.

An estimated 70 canoes representing the tribes make their formal landing on the reservation today. Four Aleut crews from Alaska traveled the furthest

The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe is hosting this year's celebration. More than 5,000 people are expected to attend this week's festivities.
