Navajo Boys and Girls Club in Shiprock might reopen

Officials in Shiprock, New Mexico, are taking steps to ensure the reopening of the Shiprock Boys and Girls Club.

The club has been closed since December 2004 as part of a funding and power dispute. A non-profit organization and the Navajo Nation were battling for control of the 14 clubs on the reservation.

The Navajo Nation's president's office has since reopened four of the clubs. Navajo officials hope the Shiprock club will be next in line.
