Blind Navajo worker retires after 32 years

After 32 years of service to the Navajo Nation, Benjamin Lee of Rock Springs, New Mexico, has retired.

Lee has been blind since the age of 3. But that didn't stop him from entering the information technology field.

He started out as a junior programmer for the tribe and rose to senior programmer. He spent most of his time with the tribe's IT department but also worked at the Education Department.

Lee says the experience has been rewarding and helped him become independent and self-sufficient.
