A Pennsylvania judge has granted custody of the son of an alleged Indian chief to child welfare officials in Schuylkill County.
The county sought custody because DaiShin WolfHawk, who claims to be the leader of the le E Quoni Tribe, an unrecognized group, is a convicted sex offender.
The county says the baby's safety is in jeopardy.
DaiShin WolfHawk and his wife, Melissa WolfHawk, said they will appeal.
