Naragansett Tribe's lobbyist cancels TV show

Guy Dufault, a lobbyist for the Naragansett Tribe, has canceled the paid TV show in which he claimed he had the "stuff" to bring down Rhode Island Gov. Donald Carcieri (R).

Dufault continues to apologize for making comments about Carcieri's alleged extramarital affairs. But he has been suspended by the Naragansett Tribe and Harrah's Entertainment, who hired him to lobby for a casino that Carcieri has thwarted, and has lost other top clients.

"He has put his heart and soul into this project," Narragansett Chief Sachem Matthew Thomas old The Providence Journal. "At the end of the day though, he said some things that were not appropriate and he has to answer for that."
