School district helps Indian students succeed

The Anoka-Hennepin school district in Minnesota has the highest Indian student graduation rate in the entire state.

Last year, 88 percent of Indian students finished high school. Their success is attributed to the district's Indian education department, founded 30 years ago to help with career planning, academic assessment, alcohol and drug counseling and cultural education.

About 1.25 percent of the student population in the district is Indian.
