The remains of eight bald eagles were discovered on the Squamish First Nation in British Columbia, bringing the total of eagles slaughtered on tribal land to more than 40. Officials believe hundreds may have been killed.
More than 40 eagle carcasses were found on the Burrard First Nation last month.
The large number of dead birds leads officials to conclude eagle feathers and parts are being sold on the black market.
The District of North Vancouver, the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation and the Human Society of Canada have offered rewards totaling $10,000 (Canadian) for information about the incidents.
