Crow man encourages students to follow dreams

Russell Stands Over Bull spoke at the opening day of the Native Nexus Conference at Montana State University on Wednesday.

Stands Over Bull, a member of the Crow Tribe, encouraged students to seek success. He shared his story of going to college, earning a doctorate and starting his own business that helps tribes with energy projects.

"I made it and you're going to make it, too," he told the students, The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reported.

The conference runs through Friday and focuses on "fusing the sciences and arts." It will be followed by the MSU Indian Pow Wow on Friday and Saturday.
