Honor student enjoys staying behind the scenes

Michael Running Wolf, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, is vice president of the American Indian Council at Montana State University but enjoys staying behind the scenes.

Running Wolf. a graduate student in computer science, spends most of his time maintaining the computers in the MSU Indian Club Room. He has also put his technology skills to use by helping his tribe with environmental research.

Running Wolf is the state's sole recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship. He is receiving a full-ride through the doctorate level and hopes to find a career in the technology industry that will keep him connected to Montana.
