Bay Area Indians to dedicate new Friendship Center

Urban Indians in the Bay Area of California will dedicate a new Friendship House Healing Center on Friday.

The $12 million, four-story building is the result of 10 years of planning and fundraising. It replaces an older building and expands the services available to urban Indians seeking drug and alcohol treatment.

There are an estimated 80,000 Indians who live in the Bay Area.
