Representatives of several tribes in southern California met with local officials on Thursday to discuss the impact and Indian gaming.
The meeting was held at the casino owned by the San Pasqual Band Of Mission Indians. Attendees talked about the challenges and opportunities that Indian gaming has brought to their communities.
Officials hope to ensure tribal planning is included in the area's overall planning efforts.
