Prayer and Peace Run nears its final destination

The World Prayer and Peace Run, a long-distance relay aimed at promoting spiritual and cultural traditions among Native youth, is nearing its final destination.

Runners from four parts of the U.S. have been making their way to the Black Hills in South Dakota. On June 18, their journey will be completed as they join a three-day prayer and peace conference that ends with the World Peace and Prayer Day on June 21.

Runners from the North are currently going through North Dakota. About 10 to 15 runners from the Spirit Lake Nation and Manitoba are participating in this segment.
