"A new bus service will address one of the critical problems on the Pine Ridge Reservation � getting from one place to another.
The reservation is about 4,400 square miles.
Unemployment is around 80 percent and the average annual income is about $3,700. Many members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe have no vehicles. The new system will offer 'access to jobs, access to their medical appointments,' said Emma Featherman-Sam, the tribal transit coordinator."
