Dogs sent to reservation to help with arson probe

Two dogs from West Virginia have been sent to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to help investigate a spate of arsons.

Tucker and Sadie Mae were asked to go to the reservation by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The bloodhounds are part of the West Virginia Division of Forestry.

The dogs previously helped an investigation on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona. The Division of Forestry investigated five fires, made 12 arrests and tied 23 individuals to other wildfires during two weeks of work.
