Tribal lawyer said not to have license to practice

An attorney who has represented tribes all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court hasn't had a license to practice law since 1993, a rival attorney claims.

Robert Bob Pelcyger [Bio] took two cases to the Supreme Court on behalf of the Crow Tribe of Montana. One case was argued before 1993 while the second was argued after 1993.

Pelcyger is currently representing the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Nevada in a major water rights case. But an attorney on the other side says he doesn't have an active law license.

Pelcyger declined to comment to The Fallon Star Press. He has represented numerous other tribal clients, including the Northern Arapaho Tribe, the Tohono Oodham Nation and the Fort Mojave Tribe.
