Red Lake school receives threat of shooting

The elementary school on the Red Lake Reservation in northern Minnesota was under security alert after receiving a threat of a shooting.

The threat indicated a number of students would shoot up the elementary school on Tuesday. The school district responded by restricting movement within the school and bringing in more security.

The Red Lake high school was the site of the March 21, 2005 shootings. Seven people were fatally shot at the school by Jeff Weise, 16, who also shot two people at a home on the reservation. Weise killed himself at the school.
