Stephen Adkins, the chief of the Chickahominy Tribe of Virginia, says his tribe won't boycott the Jamestown 2007 commemoration of the first English settlement in the United States.

Some tribal leaders have threatened to pull out of the events because they haven't been granted federal recognition. But Adkins indicated that wouldn't be happening at a meeting last night.

The commemoration will include a cultural festival in the summer of 2007 and a visit by Virginia Indian chiefs to England.
