Harlan McKosato, the former host of Native America Calling, spoke to journalism students at Oklahoma University on Tuesday

McKosato said journalists have a responsibility to present accurate and fair information about Native people. He also said Native people need to develop better relationship with the media in order to get their story told.

McKosato, an OU alumnus, is launching an all-Native cable network. He says the First Americans Cable Entertainment will increase awareness and education.
