Native community in Great Falls looks to future

The Native American Local Government Commission in Great Falls, Montana, is presenting its vision for the future to the state on Tuesday.

The commission held a session last November to come up with ideas. Among the most popular were an inter-tribal center, a Native park, summer camps for Native youth and an expansion of the Indian Family Health Clinic.

Native Americans make up 5.1 percent of the population in Great Falls, according to the 2000 Census.
