Prayer service held for Crow church hit by vandals

The chairman of the Crow Tribe of Montana called an inter-denominational prayer service for a Catholic church on the reservation that was hit by vandals.

Chairman Carl Venne, who was an altar boy at St. Dennis Parish, said the vandalism affects the entire community. "I think this is a beginning; it's a wake-up call to all of us," he was quoted as saying.

The church is repairing and cleaning up the damage. Three youths have been charged in tribal court in connection with the incident.
