Large collection of remains found in Illinois home

The state of Illinois is trying to figure out what to do about the remains of 33 tribal people found in a home in Bloomington.

The remains were discovered by a woman who recently bought the home. It is believed a dentist who used to own the home dug them up in the 1930s at a site near the Dickson Mounds Museum. They are believed to be several hundred years old.

The Midwest SOARRING Foundation has talked with local authorities about the discovery. Joseph Standing Bear Schranz, the president of group, said he hopes they are reburied.
